The fifth grade students from Shiloh Middle School visited the men and women of the 15th Operational Weather Squadron at Scott Air Force Base on Oct. 27. There, Maj. Brian Kabat and 1st Lt. Kristof Lieber provided a firsthand look at weather forecasting.

District 90 hopes action plan will help it meet AYP in future
The results for the 2011 Illinois Standards Assessment Test show OFallon District 90 did not meet the criteria for making Adequate Yearly Progress under the federal No Child Left Behind act but Superintendent Todd Koehl, Ph.D., says the district has a plan of action in place to address the shortfalls the test has identified.

Joseph Arthur Middle School in OFallon and Emge Junior High School in Belleville are teaming up to Volley for the Cure on Friday, Dec. 2, and the public is invited to join the teams at their match to help in the fight against cancer.

The Delores Moye Elementary school second grade muisical will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. The Dist. 90 fifth grade band concert will be held at Moye at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15.
